Ceremony & Ritual for Pet Loss
Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened. A. France
For Anyone Who Has Ever Loved a Pet & Mourned Their Loss
Pet Loss Ceremonies & Rituals
We share an intense love and bond with our pets and animal companions whether they are furry, feathered or scaled. For us, a pet is part of the family who brought companionship and joy into our lives. Many people are blindsided by the intensity of grief they feel when a pet dies. I honour the pain that you are feeling. Pet loss grief is real and profound. Your relationship with your animal companion is unlike any other & may be one of the most significant and loving relationships in your life. Imagine creating a ceremony or ritual that honours the bond that you and your family shared with your pet. Together, we can explore meaningful healing ceremony and ritual; and create a special space to grieve, which can help you integrate your loss and your ability to adjust to life without your animal companion. You can have a funeral ceremony for a pet, create a grief ritual for picking up your pet’s ashes, or memorialize a significant date. Please reach out and we can discuss how you can honour, celebrate and remember your beloved animal companion.
Community Recognition Events for Pet Loss
In the near future, I will be partnering with one of the local Animal Rescue Centers to provide Community Pet Loss Ceremonies.
“When we lose our pet, we may be left with great pain, as we’ve also lost one of our greatest sources of comfort. No wonder the pain is so intense.”
From “On Loss and Healing” by Elizabeth Babcock
Once we have deeply loved an animal, there is an eternal bond between our hearts.
Your wings were always waiting; I knew this day would come. So live right here inside my heart until my days are done.
Supportive Resources for Pet Loss
Your grief is valid and painfully real, regardless of its origin. The love of, and attachment to an animal can equal that of a human relationship. Likewise, the loss of an animal can be just as devastating. J. Morgan
